If Theocracy did a cover song...

Another one I had to youtube...but must also agree.

I think it'd be interesting for them to cover something way outside of rock or metal and make it theirs, even if it was just to be comical.
Kind of like CoB's "Oops, I Did it Again" cover, lol.

in my humble opinion

EDIT: on a somewhat related note, just turned on the radio to hear a commercial for an upcoming styx concert here

and now I'm gonna have come sail away stuck in my head for another month

*grumbles*

Isn't Edguy kinda cynical towards religion and all? I've always wondered what Matt felt about Sammet's lyrics.

My vote would be Bonnie Tyler's Holding out for a hero, but with a deeper tone than most Theocracy's songs, something masculinite. :D

I think they did Hoopes I Did it Again...it wasn't really a cover, just a silly reference like most of the stuff from that era was, lol. I'll have to say, I like some of their stuff. They're quite creative.

Some different that would be cool: [in my opinion]

Sonata arctica - Don't say a word
Edguy - Tears of a mandrake
Avantasia - Serpents in paradise // Avantasia
Styx - Blue collar man [Renegade would be cool too, but this one.. such a great song!]
Journey - Separate ways
Stryper - Surrender
Megadeth - Tornado of souls
Queensryche - Eyes of a stranger
Metallica - One

Say Sonata Arctica, and I do a dance. :D *does dance* *twirls in circle* Happy place! :D

Matt has a lovely falsetto from the bit of it I've heard... I wonder what he'd sound like on some Kamelot covers? I've always loved Roy's voice on Elizabeth pt. 1 when he does the high parts, though I don't know if they'd want to endorse the concept, lol. I remember reading horror stories at sleepovers when we were like twelve/thirteen about Erzebet Bathory, haha. :D

I could see Theocracy doing a fantastic rendition of "Rime of the Ancient Mariner", it keeps a very good pace at times (you know, when you hear the guitars and all you can think of is a horse galloping) , but it also becomes very epic... sound familiar?

They should do a song with a little punk rock thrown in, to mix things up. I think that'd rock haha. Christian song of course ... :p

The only MXPX song I think I've ever heard (wait, no, there was another one...) was "Punk Rawk Show" off X2003. I nearly died thinking of Theocracy covering that song, as is, perhaps with a little humor involved (okay so a LOT of humor)...
That would be the most amazing thing ever.

Another one I had to youtube...
BLASPHEMY!

Styx - Blue collar man
It took me literally 20 minutes to decide between Renegade and that one.

Metallica - One
Hmm.... or what would be even more interesting, would be "To Live Is To Die", with a Theocracized-spin on it. After all, we know how good Matt is at covering Metallica Songs...

A Day To Remember's version of "Since You Been Gone" comes to mind.
