if you like the haunted

As you might have noticed, Dew-Scented have been extremely busy over the last year following the release of Inwards. Vocalist Leif Jensen comments, “We played several successful tours and festivals and now we have decided to fully concentrate on the songwriting for our next album. As scheduled, we will be recording the next album again with Andy Classen at Stage One Studio in Bühne, Germany. We start tracking the new songs around late April and then proceed with the mix by early June. Nuclear Blast is looking at a fall release for the still untitled 5th album (you might already guess that the title will start off with an “I,” right?), so feel free to look forward to that! We have 8 completely finished new songs and are still working on many more, as well as spending time brainstorming about possible cover song choices to use as special bonus tracks. We also plan on re-recording a song from Ill-Natured as a bonus track.”

If you like Slayer then you'll like this German Thrash Band. One of the better German Bands around. I saw them at last years Milwaukee Metal fest, where they caught my attention, & I filmed them live(one song). And then bought their album new(at the time) Inwards.

I also saw them in Milwaukee last year and then saw them in Vienna in October 2002 with Cannibal Corpse and Severe Torture. They played a great set. Alot of intensity live and it was cool to see them in a smaller venue with better sound. I was able to talk with a few of the band members afterwards and they were real nice guys.

Actually Inwards is their 4th full-length CD. The others are: Ill-natured-1999, Innoscent - 1998, and Immortelle - 1996. I have all but Immortelle.

They just posted an update on their website, check it out: www.dew-scented.de They have a bunch of shows coming up, although nothing in the US yet. Leif, the vocalist, told me that they are hoping to be able to do a small US tour when the new CD is released in September. I hope so.

Yeah, they were amazing in Milwaukee last year. I love this band and all of their albums. Can't wait for a new one. And yes, their name is rather lame. It took me one listen of Inwards though to no longer care what they were called.

As for the title of this thread, Dew Scented blow The Haunted away... :)
