Is it just me, or does this whole album just have like a really dark epic overtone to it? It's hard to describe, but the whole thing makes me feel like it was recorded on a mountain on cold fall nights haha.

Does anyone else know what I'm talking about? And if so, do you think it is more of composition thing or more of a production thing?

Its been weird on me tho,

At first i hated it, then it grew on me and then i loved it, now i dont like it.

No doubt is a unique sound, But its too epic sounding and too dark. it sounds very sludgy too.

Just my oppinion, i do see where your coming from though

What do you think the darkness comes from? I mean, I guess the cymbals are kinda dark sounding and the reverbs are pretty dark but what else could it be? It's just got this vibe that I love, I can't quite quantify it but I'm trying to figure it out.

When i herd it, i felt the darkness was in the snare, toms and something with the guitars.....

Just checked out the myspace. I get that vibe because of the vocal reverb. Kind of cool.

Yeah I definitely hear it the most in the guitars and something to do with the vocal reverb like Sinister Mephisto said... but I can't figure out WHAT it is about either thing that does it.

can someone with better ears?
