i'm doing a school project on metal

i gotta do some gay project on my interests and shit and i'm doing it on "what is metal and what is not"
so i need some good info about metal and its origins and stuff like that...and then i'm gonna show that that mallcore shit isn't metal...so does anyone know of any good sites or anything?

Look back at early Sabbath, Blue Cheer, and other heavy bands, and work your way forward showing how heavy music progressed to where it is now

i reckon you should do a timeline showing extremity's of metal along the years....i.e black sabbath were considered really hard and heavy back then but now they aren't heavier brutal death metal bands and black metal bands are considered extreme
