never heard of this band before, seems like alot of people I know like them, hence I may like them. Can anyone here describe their sound to me, or what bands they are similar too. I hear they sound like Katatonia.

Well to me they sound like In Flames from their early albums. And Dark Tranquillity. But thas in my opinion

I actually find their riffing and intertwining guitar melodies to some of opeth's and katatonias stuff..

I'd say they are a cross between Sentenced and Opeth. And Barre's vocals are amazing!! The man's got raw fucking power in his growl, you can feel the emotion.

Actually they have 2 albums. The first being an EP entitled Idle that was released a couple years ago on the small label Tribunal Records, as Flaming Death mentioned. They're originally from here in Asheville, NC. They cleared out of here and soon after signed to Relapse and things have been looking up for them ever since. Sad to say the metal scene in Asheville is non existent.
They do have a show not far from here this Saturday in Spartanburg, SC at Ground Zero with Cannibal Corpse, Malevolent Creation, Deeds OF Flesh, Lust Of Decay, Cephalic Carnage, and Lovefist. The show is only $15 and you get a fuckload of metal for your dollar so go and support the scene!

Man, this is really great stuff. I can't provide any honest commentary just yet, as I've just started listening to the tunes. But, they were so promising that I immediately bought the album. Once I get it and give it a few listens, I'll be able to do a quick review.

I recommend listening to "I Wait" if you are just getting into em. Thats the first one iI heard, and I was hooked. Any would be good though I guess, they all rock out.
