I'm seeing bleeding through, born of osiris and oceano tonight.

Oceano fucking BLOWS. Holly bass drops every 10 seconds horse shit dudes! Fucking gimmicky as hell. Also 100% apparent that Sturgis just polished that turd till it was a shiny brown football.

Osiris was actually fucking great, but the FOH was crap. Fucking keys and kick were louder than anything else, so it was hard to hear the fucking guitars.

Didn't stick for Bleeding Through, and now having heard their latest record I'm glad I didn't.

There were a couple other bands worth mentioning as they were actually sort of ok. Legend and Sleeping Giant. Legend was that tough guy HXC bullshit. Sleeping Giant was heavy and shit but also preachy and shit.

All it all it was a fun night, I got my beer on. :D

Sleeping giant fucking RULES LIVE
LEGENDS IS FUCKING LEGIT
OCEANO DISSAPOINT
BOO DISSAPOINT
BLEEDING THROUGH KICKS TONS OF ASS LIVE

/thread

BoO fucking owns.
The other two bands.............uh, not so much

They are horrible live, and the bass drops that happen every (not fucking joking with this either) 30 seconds is pure fucking idiocy in it's finest form.

BTW: Bass drops are fucking dumb. Out of the 7 bands I saw, 5 had stupid fucking bass drops. :Puke:

But only Oceano has the gift of over using them.

lol, im playing with boo and oceano on the 18th of may.

actually kinda funny, the last time i played a metal show was last may with oceano and they were fucking pissed.
i guess they are going downhill with Andy leaving the band.

I went to a gig to see Between the Buried and Me. Bleeding Through were headlining..... or maybe it was a co-headlined tour? Either way, Bleeding Through were playing last and once BTBaM finished I was pretty much gonna leave without seeing em (I'd gone through my Bleeding Through phase many moons before and got over em long enough ago). My mate is was there with wasn't too keen on seeing em either but he was drunk and I wasn't (driving that night) so we somehow got stuck there long enough to see them start their set....
Cue me ending up up the front of the pit and having a good old mosh to one of the best and most energetic live sets I've seen in my life. Even though I knew some of the songs were pretty cliched, they just fucking WORKED live. They were tight as a motherfucker too and even Brandon (? the vocalist....) seemed to have learned to sing decently enough compared to the early live footage I'd seen. In the end I was fuckin glad I didn't blow them off some gay arse "true metal" pretense.

I don't listen to the other stuff on CD anymore though, but I did check out the new album and found it to be pretty damn enjoyable. I like the mix too, oversaturated guitars and all.
