Of the five OPETH albums I love, 'My Arms Your Hearse' definitely has taken the longest time to grow for me personally.
This week I finally realized just how DAMN good 'The Amen Corner' is. Oh what a delicious song, perfectly capturing the dark essence of the album, with some wondrous melodies and heavy riffing to boot.
I'm also on an ABBA trip as of the moment, beautiful music somewhere between melancholy and stardom. If you catch my drift. Ooo I can see

yeah, Amen Corner took some time for me to get into. first I thought it was a bit boring, but now I think it's excellent, especialls the beginning

That one riff near the end RULES... you know the one.

and yeah, it is kind of a "cornerstone" of the album.

I found MAYH to be the most accessible Opeth album, though probably because it was the last one of all of them, and by then I was completely used to the style...

And yeah, the Amen Corner kicks serious ass, as well as April Ethereal, When, Madrigal, Demon of the Fall, Credence, Karma, and Epilogue. Oh wait, that's the whole album, isn't it?
