IMAGIKA Complete Portrait of A Hanged Man
IMAGIKA have completed work on Portrait Of A Hanged Man at Sonic Train Studios in Varberg Sweden. The CD was mixed and mastered by Andy LaRocque. Guitarist Steve Rice engineered and tracked the album. Drummer Henry Moreno again has designed all the art for the release. This CD also marks the recorded debut of new bassist Jim Pegram. Metalville is expected to release the CD worldwide on 3/19/2010. The first run will be a special DigiPak with the bonus track Shadow Of The Cross The official track listing is:
Scared To Death
The Hit
Keep The Wolves At Bay
G.H.B.
Portrait Of A Hanged Man
Simple Servant
One Word
My Final Hour
A God No More (featuring Andy LaRocque)
Halo Of Flies
Vocalist Norman Skinner comments on the new material: IMAGIKA never wants to make the same record twice and I feel we have created another stand out album we can be proud of. This new album is more thrashy, raw, and in your face than its predecessor. We decided this time around to do away with some of the dynamics and keep things much more in the pocket with more concise arrangements and bigger hooks. With Portrait of a Hanged Man the fans can expect catchy, fast paced, heavy hitting songs.
The band is in the planning stages of a tour to support the release in Spring 2010.
