Now, is it heavy metal or power metal? Away with sectarian discussions! Immortal Avenger from Richmond, VA are metal to the bone and their EP 'Sound the alarm' proves it. After their debut full-length 'Valor and justice' (2005), they recorded the mini-album with a new singer, Johnny Throckmorton - and man, does he know how to boost the band's quality level. Think Obsession-Mike Vescera with a bit of Armored Saint-John Bush thrown in for good measure.
Forget that overproduced, bland industry fare the mainstream mags tell you to buy - anyone into old school, well-written US-metal with fine melodies, Maiden-esque dual guitar playing and great vocals, please check out this EP.
