Do you guys find it advantageous to use a higher sample rate for your IR's: 96k as compared to the lower 44.1k? Or are the sample rates more for you to match whatever sample rate you are using while recording?

Is there an actual sound difference or is it something I'm probably not going to notice in the soup?

Cheers

They're to match the sample rate you're using to record, so don't go using a 96k impulse on a 44.1k signal. But recording at 96k generally sounds better if you have a good interface.

Never tried using a 96k on a 44.1k signal though, I'm guessing there's a high chance it won't sound better than the 44.1k counterpart.

96k impulses sound so much better for me. I use them in SIR. And I work at 44.1 and 24 bits.
