IN AEVUM AGERE - "The Shadow Tower" - cover, track list, release date: December 07, 2012
The release date of the long-awaited debut album of Italian Power/Epic Doom band IN AEVUM AGERE, "The Shadow Tower", is December 07, 2012.
The workaholic Bruno Masulli (Loadstar, Power Beyond, ex-Savior From Anger) could be well-known to some Pure Steel-consumers because of his technical Thrash Metal-band Annihilationmancer. They released an album called “The Involution Philosophy“ through Pure Underground last year. With „The Shadow Tower“ there is finally the debut-album of his Epic Doom-project IN AEVUM AGERE. Here, Masulli does the vocals, the bass and some of the guitars on his own. Since their foundation back in 2005, this band from Napoli, Italy released a demo, a single and an EP, that finally brought them their record deal with us.
On eleven tracks, mostly with a playing time of around five or six minutes, they celebrate Epic Doom in the glorious vein of Solitude Aeturnus and – of course! – Candlemass in their early days. On the one hand, they sound like an unstoppable Power Metal-machine, and on the other, they also show us a melancholic side, which often reminds the listener of Messiah Marcolin or Rob Lowe. Some of these sinister songs, and some of the few faster riffs as well, could also have been written by Leif Edling or even Tony Iommy. The whole album convinces with a powerful, very bass-powered production that will convince every single Doom fan for sure! Get doomed!
Get doomed!
