No, not the name of some cool new metal band, merely me after getting word that I will get to see the Foo Fighters at Earls Court in December. I have been waiting for them to announce large UK dates and sure enough they did - while I was on holiday. Needless to say they sold out in hours and I was so distraught Mark was even prepared to get tickets off of ebay for some ludicrous price. Luckily Dave Grohl took pity on me and announced a second night. Praise be to Dave!! :worship:  I've seen them do a small club gig before and they were fucking amazing so I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooo excited about this. Woo! :hotjump:

Totally unrelated but we saw Ewan McGregor in Guys and Dolls last Saturday, and he was awesome. Actually everyone was awesome, the show was excellent. I'd love to see it again but at £55 a ticket we may have to give it a miss. :tickled:

Mark insisted that I go to their Brisbane show in November... but gee, after listening to a few of their albums they just bore me. Tickets are still available, too.

I have to say I'm not a huge fan of the latest album. "The Best of You" is kinda catchy, but it's also really repetitive and a bit of a nothing song. I heard them when they played it on Rove during their "secret tour" and began to think that they've started to lose it.

I went to buy tickets to their Melbourne show in December, and it sold out in about 15 minutes. The friend I was in line with hung around and got us tickets to the second show, which was announced 10 minutes before tickets for it went on sale later that morning.

I haven't been to a gig at Rod Laver since Creed a few years ago, and Metallica a few years before that. Great venue, I am looking forward to it.

At first I thought In Your Honor was crap, but it grew on me after a few good listens. It has nothing on The Colour And The Shape, which is awesome, but it has some great catchy material on it. I need to listen more to get my head fully around it though.

Metalcore with old school heavy metal guitar work. Great riffs. The way modern metal should be.

thats what i thought. So I will be staying away from them then.
