Here's a little video of a project I worked on last summer. Yes, it's powermetal, so don't expect much double bass & growling. Yes, we're a bunch of idiots, but we had fun, dammit!

Hey Oz, do you always keep the D6 out like that?
I keep mine inside about 6 inches from the beater, I never tried it just sitting in the hole, mostly to reduce bleed. How's the attack from that distance? Got a raw sample?

We've been keeping our D6 about 4" from the inside ring. Hadn't thought about going that far into the drum head as you do, but this was all for monitoring purposes during rehearsals FWIW.

Yeah, it was an Ipod & he was reading the lyrics..... Hey, whatever works, you know what I mean?

As for the drummer & the click, actually he was pretty tight most of the time. But, it was kinda funny to watch him lose it there


And Filipe, no, I can't give you your 10 minutes back. You were warned we're iditots & nobody forced you to watch. Quit bitching.

We didn't have a glowing orb lying around for him to hold & look evil with, so we substituted with an iPod.
