Agreed. I haven't discretely miked the high hats in a very long time. I suppose it would be a nice option to have if needed, but I'm still limited to my 8 inputs, until I make the move up to 16 it'll have to stay that way.

Yes, it's extremely effective. Not only two sliding glass doors, but two detached walls with a 2 inch air gap as well. I like the sliding doors because I don't have to take up space with separate windows and doors. I'll have to do an amient noise reading & measure the isolation one of these days, but yeah, it always impresses the hell out of the clients, thats for sure.
How do you mix the 2 bass signals you record? Do you do a high pass on the sansamp and low pass on the Gallien-Krueger? Also, how hard do you compress each signal?
