Incredible new prog rock/metal album: Amaran's Plight

[Trans-Siberian Outcast]

This is a project spearheaded by Gary Wehrkamp (Shadow Gallery) and D.C. Cooper (Royal Hunt, Silent Force, and many others). It's a concept album (of course) that certainly has it's share of metal moments but mostly falls in the hard rock category. I find the songwriting to be quite superb. Captivating even. Hardcore-only fans need not apply because there are tons of candy AOR melodies in this album that I haven't heard since late 70s Styx. It's catchy as hell, especially Cooper's vocal lines!

Yeah, that Mehida sounds pretty good too, but without an album out I'll have to wait till I get back to AZ and get on SS with you.
