Inhuman Condition – Jeramie Kling (Overkill), Taylor Nordberg (Deicide), and Terry Butler (Obituary) – recently announced new album, Mind Trap, available via Listenable Insanity Records on June 27. The album will be released in Europe via High Roller Records, in Brazil via Rapture Records, and in Japan/Asia via Spiritual Beast Records. Pre-order the album here.

The band’s third full length was mixed by Jeramie Kling and mastered by Taylor Nordberg at Smoke & Mirrors Productions in Spring Hill, Florida.

Inhuman Condition unites on this release brandishing their brutal tunes, and this time around expect nothing less than next level and in your face, sludgy thrash metal as the band flaunt their metal mastery.

A video for the first track, “Severely Lifeless”, can be found below.

Jeramie Kling says, “When I began writing this song, I felt a massive sense of dread that centered on contemporary humanity. I delved into this dread; while penning about this subject, I realized the fact that it has never ‘been good’. At no point in history has it been ‘good’; there are threads of evil and maliciousness by humans in every time stamp on humanity’s time card. That being said, there is no one to talk to about this. There is no authority on the matter. Nobody has any clue on how to actually correct the problems. All we have to turn to is a mob of people with mangled ideas that are feeding off of a rotted carcass of misinformation. Even the people who seem friendly and earnest can’t help as they all eat and drink from the same polluted food sources. We are what we have become. Nobody is coming to save us.”

Inhuman Condition announced their arrival to the Florida death metal scene in the tail-end of 2020. Formed by Jeramie Kling on drums and vocals, Taylor Nordberg on guitar and Terry Butler on bass, the trio formed their own unique blend of groove-laden thrashing death metal. Their debut album Rat°God was released in the spring of 2021 on the band’s own Listenable Insanity Records to rave reviews.

The following summer saw the release of Inhuman Condition’s sophomore album, Fearsick, continuing their underground buzz. The group released an EP, “Panic Prayer” in the summer of 2023 and has since shared the stage with Deicide, Vader, Hatebreed, Origin, Kataklysm, and were invited to play the 2024 edition of the 70k Tons of Metal Cruise.

Jeramie Kling previously explained the album art for Mind Trap, saying, “At the outset of composing this album, I was overwhelmed by an inescapable sense of confinement. This confinement was not imposed by the creative process or the expectations of previous releases, but rather by the very fabric of our shared existence on this planet. Our world is in a state of profound crisis, and we are all witnessing its aftermath. It is as if a colossal conflagration has engulfed all that we hold dear and trust. I had initially conceived of myself, Taylor and Terry being caught in these various traps on the cover as a blatant representation of being held captive by the world we inhabit. Also, witnessing our deaths cements the very real and foreboding feeling emitted by the term death metal.”
