An article posted at the Megadeth site reveals that being a Megadeth fan can be hazardous to your health.
A woman was taken into custody Oct. 29 at her apartment in the 3300 block of North Kostner Avenue for allegedly stabbing a companion with a steak knife because his humming was drowning out the music to which she was listening.
The woman, identified as Shelia Raven Lord, 49, of the North Kostner Avenue address, was charged with one count of domestic battery.
The 29-year-old victim told police that he was humming a Megadeath song in the kitchen about 8:05 a.m. as he prepared pasta. The woman allegedly became upset because she couldn't hear a Celine Dion song. She grabbed a six-inch steak knife, the victim told police, and cut him in the left hand and the right forearm. The victim ran out of the apartment and went across the street to call 911.
Lord was taken to the 17th Police District station for questioning. The victim was checked out by paramedics, but refused medical attention.
