The fact is, if you want to work in the business world and be successful, you're gonna have to look the part. If you're working for someone and representing their company to the public on a daily basis, you're going to have to present a professional image according to the public, not to you. Granted, I disagree with judging simply by looks, but put yourself in his/her shoes. If you're not willing to cut your hair to get paid, what does that say about you would do for the company? That's how they think. Shplongled has a cool boss who doesn't mind, but he's probably not in the public eye every day and obviously not every employer is that cool.
Personally, you looked clean shaven and very professional in my opinion. If you wore a suit and tie and presented yourself in a professional manner in the interview, I see no reason not to hire you; it's a shame that others disagree. It's at least good to see that you've still got a positive attitude. Today's youth usually feels that the world owes them something simply for being born.
Dude, if you don't want to cut your hair and are adamant about it, start looking for more blue-collar jobs. Keep trying with the more suit and tie jobs, but don't put all your eggs in one basket on that one. The world looks down on metalheads, and all the bitching and complaining that we do isn't going to change it. We must either adapt to society or mooch off of others for the rest of our lives.
