Hello hello to all newbies, coming from an equally new member who found this page while hunting down reviews of the Katatonia show I just experienced a few nights ago. So, that is where I shall start... "rustedjelena" came to me by combining two of my favorite bands Katatonia and the GATHERING's song titles. I enjoy long walks on the.. No, music was my first love and so shall it be my last. I suffer an immense groupie syndrome and would have been the equivalent of Penny Lane back in the 70's and wouldn't mind it so much nowadays if I were to attend say a Down show (mmmm.. Phil Anselmo), Opeth (Martin Mendez.... ) to name a few. I reside in Nashville, TN currently but lived a short period in Ansbach, Germany. I don't have the mindless rambles nor accent to go along with my residency. I'm soon to embark the world of bar tending to raise funds for the dream of being a musical journalist. I'd like to achieve the rarity of being a music journalist who doesn't irritate the bands I run across. Nearly impossible shoes to fill if I were to come face to face with Maynard Keenan, I know... But alas, to combine writing with music would suit me just fine. If I could be in a band however, I'd find being a part of one like White Zombie, any Mike Patton project, or Gwar to be ideal because they combine fun, humor, and music. Even if Gwar started off a an enormous joke and often times still plays the part and Mike Patton is nine kinds of absurd. I think every adolescent should be exposed to the Pantera home videos asap to inspire them in the ways of a fulfilling and "balls to the wall" life style. Now I'm just being silly and yet, utterly serious. Enough about me however, onto the next fresh.... Nothing witty about putting "meat" here, but for some reason to me it seems seasonally appropriate. Fresh meat brings to mind Halloween for myself personally, I don't know about anyone else. Carry on!
