IV V2.0 tracklisting:

'Seemless (Take Me Away)'
'Fool’s Parade'
'This Is Me'

Yea, V1.0 was initially a free release.
I used to really like this band a lot.
I haven't seen them live in a really long time.
Glad to see they are more active again.
One main attraction to me though was their old singer Russ.
The music on this is solid but unfortunately the vocals ruin it for me to be honest.

Hey Jason.
Do you always speaks in separated sentences like this?
I find that very interesting.
I am not sure if you've heard of a paragraph before.
Perhaps that doesn't apply to internet forums.
Or maybe you're just working on writing lyrics for your band's next song.
Your band's next song.
Your band's next song.

Jasonic is poetry in motion.

LOL....
It's funny because I have been called out for this before on other forums.
Sorry, it's how I learned to write in undergrad and grad school.
It's technically a bastardized version of Business Memo Format.

As far as Ion Vein's singer being one of the best in the scene??????
Not even sure how to comment.
Not saying he is bad, but I miss the upper range.
This gritty style is WAY too modern for me.

While I never have been a fan of this band. I will say the old singer was great. He could hit all the ranges needed.

And he had a killer live presence.
I was becoming a big fan of them actually after seeing them live a few times.
They were great at Chicago Powerfest. Probably the best performance I saw of them.

Anyhow, back on point, I am glad they are giving it another run.
I certainly wouldn't mind seeing them live again.

Chris is a really good dude, and Rob Such is playing bass for them now.

Jasonic is a hell of a prog metal lyricist... Just look at how differently the verses break... Zero Hour and Spiral Architect have nothing on him.

I take this is the chorus?

I'd hit the again with a real high note.

I love you guys!!!!!!

Milton - I seriously need to meet you someday soon.
I definitely owe you a beer or three

@ Pate - Seriously not sure what you mean by your "subtle" comment.
I thought I was 100% honest about my thoughts on Ion Vein in this thread.
Used to be a fan. Interested enough to check em out again, but not digging the vocalist.
Gunning for them as I consider Chris and Rob to be good hardworking dudes......

LOL - Well, it wasn't a back handed complement to Rob.
Just a statement of fact that he plays bass for them and I am friends with the guy.

If you are looking for controvery I will certainly say that I always liked Ion Vein more than Twelfth Gate, so I consider it a good move.

Thanks for posting, Scott, and for it out, guys, appreciate it!

For the record, Brian Gordon played bass on all the tracks, Rob
joined after the fact and is kicking ass too! :)

Oh crap....was I supposed to be posting in single sentences???

For those interested, you can grab IV v2.0 and IV v1.0 via iTunes
or Bandcamp so check em out and crank em up! :kickass:

We appreciate the support! :headbang:

Best,
Chris
