Yup, the official Symphony X IRC/chat channel does exist and some of us are spending time there daily.

It's located in irc.starchat.net and the channel name is #teof

All needed info is at http://www.symphonyx.com/irc.htm .. everyone feel free to come say hi there For those of you who are not familiar with IRC we also have a Java chat applet there so no external programs needed for connecting to the chat.
