I was listening to Dance of Death and thought I should bloody watch my Death on the Road DVD!! Great to see those songs played live, I'm really digging that album.

The editing is woeful though and when they were cutting angles quick, the sound was up and down which almost ruined the whole experience.

Not too sure about the mask, cape, cloak thing in DoD, my wife walked in the room and immediately commented on how dreadful Bruce looked in it and I didn't argue:p

Yeah, the editing is average but I thought it was rather well done on Dance of Death, and I really liked Bruce's theatrics during that song. I haven't watched it all the way through because it doesn't work properly on my DVD player - works fine on my PC but I don't really feel like sitting in front of the computer for two hours to watch a pop concert.

 that reminds me of that Ozzy doco where his daughter (not kelly, t'other one) who is about 7 at the time, says "My daddy is Ozzy, he's a famous pop star!"

But metal is about the theatrics man...
quite often, yes.

Iron Maiden are a lively bunch onstage with lots of running and prancing but Steve didnt need to continously show everyone in the band doing their thing in a space of around 10 seconds or less - you wouldnt want to be pissed watching it:ill:

I'm not completely opposed to Bruces theatrics, its a great song and it really has that opera feel about it but his choice of costumes seemed a little garish, to be honest. If there was ever a Maiden song that made me think of Spinal Tap, this is it but its still a great song;)

Pop music? In a sense, yes they are Popular, easily the most popular metal group around - so its metalpop?

Slayer are pretty popular too. :)

Does the title of this thread make any else imagine a tv segment on housework hosted by some guy called Steve?

that was kinda the idea:heh:

Paschendale is truely awesome live, Bruce in his helmet & coat playing dead and all:headbang: Still think the sound fluctuations suck the big one though but its just great seeing them play DoD stuff live. My son told me he liked No More Lies today, hehehe.
