Is it true...

pizza = burgers

This is coming from a Red Mill addict so I might be biased. Awesome burgers, the best one being the double bacon cheese. You have to go the the Phinney Ridge one that's the best. Oh and yes IMHO they are the best in Seattle.

Thanks Warrell. I think that's the one Richman visited when he profiled the chain. If I ever get my ass to Seattle, finally, that's one place I hit sooner rather than later.

I live in LA and everyone spooges over In n Out, but I think they are merely ok. Just not as ratty as McD, BK or Carl's. TBH, the best chain in California is Farmer Boys. They are great.

Well, nothing compares to Slater's 50/50. Patties are half beef, half bacon. So a half pound burger is 1/4 pound beef, 1/4 pound bacon. Great stuff but the place is a madhouse. Go there on a Saturday evening and the wait is 2 hours. No exaggeration.

Red Mill burgers are great, but imo, certainly not the best in Seattle.

The best burgers I've ever had here are:

Hales Ales Pub and Brewery
Ravenna Alehouse (pretzel buns mmmmmmmm)
Lunchbox Laboratory

Gatsby's in sac makes a great burger, they are kind of seasonal and change the special, some are better than others. blood orange burger with an orange cream milkshake was pretty amazing. they were featured on one of those food network shows too.

usually when i go to brewpubs/somewhere not specifically famous for burgers i get some of kind of club sandwich or pizza. probably get some hate for this but i think most times i feel like

turkey+bacon > beef(even beef+bacon)

washed down with a delicious piney citrusy ipa mmmmmm

BUT a great burger when you're craving one really hits the spot, i just fuckin love sammiches
