Issued in 1998, "Garage Inc." included cover songs, B-side covers, and the "The $5.98 E.P.: Garage Days Re-Revisited", which had gone out of print since its original release in 1987. The title is a combination of "Garage Days Revisited" and METALLICA's song "Damage, Inc." The album featured songs by artists that have influenced METALLICA, including DIAMOND HEAD, DISCHARGE, BLACK SABBATH and MISFITS. METALLICA is continuing to tour in support of its latest album, "Hardwired… To Self-Destruct", which came out in November 2016. The "WorldWired" tour has played more than 130 shows across the world since its 2016 kick-off. Last November, Ulrich told The Mercury News that the trek could last through early 2020.
