Is my video card fucked or what?

Starting a few months ago my screen would flash black for a second, then come back everything fine. Now it happens 10 to 15 times every morning after I bring the computer out of sleep mode, sometimes just when bringing it out of screen saver. Certain things disappear (like right now text is disappearing, then coming back), and it's happening pretty frequently now, PISSING ME OFF. Flashed twice so far just since typing this up. Oh yeah and when I reboot sometimes the driver in4_disp.dll (I think) gets caught in infinite loop.

I have a GeForce4 MX 440 w/ AGP8X with current driver.

So it's just fux0red beyond hope or what? This shit is only like a year and half old, is GeForce (or Nvidia, whoever the hell makes this) just a piece o' shit or what?

Well you could try to remove all drivers associated with the card and do a clean re-install, that all I can think of right now

I rolled back the driver and it's working better but still sucks. Someone told me try swapping a monitor to see if it's that, but I doubt it. D'oh well, I'll just keep yelling at it and scaring my neighbors.
