ok downloading for my information. The Orakel album was good but aged very fast. Also I don't know what to make of those guys who run progressive black metal, death metal and desert rock stoner projects in parallel...

I didn't really hear much of their first album, but i checked this one out. A solid mix of post-rock with a dark progressive edge. The occasional heavier parts are nicely interspersed; see the ending of origin. Each song has an ebb and flow to it that keeps things moving wonderfully. Reminds me of what a lot metal bands are doing now, just done on clean electrics (fen gone clean?!). The clean vocals add a hazy touch to all I think more people should check this out, good recommendation!

yeah I think those guys are doing pretty well what Isis has been failing pretty bad at doing since Poopopticon

It's a good example on how to carry a fairly simple theme through long minutes, thanks to subtle work on layers, variations and added details. Not too fond of the vocals though but they're in place and undisturbing (and scarce enough)

I think I've been following these guys since their EPs. I probably should check this out because the EPs are fantastic.
