Well, this is bullshit if they really seriously think this is a viable solution. If I was in the music industry I'd be very worried that these morons were representing me. And what about foreign ISPs?? Idiotsas part of the fight against music piracy, ISPs should be held accountable for the actions of their users and charged a fee for giving their customer's access to services such as Kazaa or Morpheus.
Same-ness in music is hardly a valid reason for downloading, the writer is an idiot (seems this is my new favourite word ) for bringing that up. I'm not even sure that low artist compensation is an issue (I know people like to pretend it is, but they are idiots ). High prices are though, and still the idiots in the industry do nothing about it. IdiotsWe don't see the recording industry moving to address problems of overwhelming same-ness in music, high CD prices, or low artist compensation.
Nice to see the idiot writer has conveniently ignored sites like www.emusic.com which effectively give you ownership of the mp3, and you can do what you want with it. Those other sites do sound like they're run by idiots, but not all of them areEven their competing download services are a joke, with draconian requirements, high fees, and my favorite the ability to delete your music in the event you stop paying for the monthly service. Did I mention you can't burn any of your music library either? What a joke.
This is true, but it's not surprising, because the RIAA are idiotsIf the RIAA had been thinking during the Napster battle they'd have swallowed their pride and cut a deal with the service (which was, after all, owned by a music company), whose downloads they could monitor and whose users could be tracked.
yes, the evil music industry has decided that people should not illegally obtain music, and they did this without consulting the public! Oh no!!Somewhere along the line, the music industry has decided it can control how consumers listen to music without consulting them.
