I'm sure the new contra has nothing on Hard Corps. It came out for Genesis a million years ago. It keeps the tradition of one hit deaths alive, only there's like 5 billion bullets and things flying at you all the time. Even on 2 player I couldn't get out of the first stage. Come to think of it, Fatal Frame was quite frustrating too. I'll never forget snapping my PS2 controller in half over that one. Damn. Then there was Donkey Kong for Atari 2600. I got so mad that I bit the cartridge and then punished it by locking it up in a closet. Fun!

Final Fantasy Tactics infuriated me so much once that I jerked the disk out of the system and threw it like a frisbee at the wall. Once my rage lifted and I saw the pieces of the game all over the room, I let out a little wail and went to the store and bought a new copy. After that, I was a bit more careful.

you basically HAD to be the robot and the dude to get anywhere...they had the good weapons...and yeah, the slide/hover technique was CRUCIAL!!
