the latest dark tranquillity album

"fiction" fucking rules and that's that

buying the "EXPANDED SUPER EDITION" with a bunch of bonus tracks shortly because i never got around to buying the first one luckily

fucking stupid major metal labels and their cynical cash-in tricks

I have that album. It's EXACTLY like every other Dark Tranquillity album.

Though most slag their recent output for being too one dimensional, I found myself rather enjoying Character and felt the songwriting was every bit as solid as ever. I need to give the newest one a shot at some point.

the new one is a lot better than character, which in turn was a lot better than damage done which was their absolute nadir

I dunno, other than the anthemic "Wonders at your Feet", I wasn't a huge fan of Haven at all. A rather paint by numbers and bland letdown after the surprisingly solid one off Projector album.

At least many of the songs from Damage Done were catchy enough to stick my head for over six years now.

it's probably just that i was an impressionable 15 year old around the time haven came out and i listened to emptier still while crying in my bed about some girl or walked around in some forest or some shit

i don't really care about anything other than the fact that operation mindcrime is the best fucking thing

Since Haven has come out I have never once seen that album in stores anywhere in any state ever. But every other DT album you can find.

So you have now entered the domain called True Metal. The most interesting part is that you quite literally have decades worth of material to explore.

mostly true doom - solstice, rev biz, pentagram, trouble, vitus, all maryland doom, while heaven wept, penance, solitude aeturnus, count raven, etc.

doomsword is really good, though

ive bought one 2009 black metal release - Celestia's new one (and it's just OK)
