It's August & just around the corner...

Is the start of the NFL regular season...
Thoughts on your favorite team? ATL handled the Colts in Japan.
I'm impressed by the team as a whole & the abilities of the back up Qb's.
The second team RB's look good after a fumble in the 1st quarter...

Well, as you learned from last year, i'm a die hard Broncos fan. That'll never change. And i enjoyed the game from Japan last night. That back up QB for ATL (I think his name is Shaub?) wasn't too shabby. Both teams look solid.

What do you think of Rice being a Bronco this year? And will Plummer finish the season as the starter? If I recall you're also a fan of the Chargers, which I think have a great chance this year if they stay healthy... Marty did a great job with them, I'm curious at what he has up his sleeve this season...

How'd you get to be a Falcons' fan from the other side of the country? Just curious.

I hate Rice being a Bronco. I've sworn off all forms of rice -- pilaf, long grain, etc. even Sake -- until he's released.

The Snake will finish the season as the starter and will have a career year.

I went to training camp a coupla weeks ago and took a few pics:

Ahh the Falcon's Fan question...
I followed Chris Miller who played for the Oregon Ducks... He got drafted by the Falcons & I followed his Career, then they drafted Deion in '89 & then tarded for Rison. So I have been following the team for nearly 20 years now...
Jerry Glanville drafted Brett Favre, but then traded him to Green Bay. Glanville is an old buzzard that left two tickets for every home game for Elvis....
Cool pics...

Not to burst your bubble, but it was Schaub and Atlanta's second team that pretty much took care of Indy. The Falcons won't have him for many years. He will end up starting somewhere. Having said all of that, I am not taking anything away from The Falcons. Vick gets all of the attention, but I think Warrick Dunn is one of the toughest RBs in the league. As a Steeler fan, I typically don't like small backs, but Dunn runs right up the gut and will pop a LB that outweighs him by 60 pounds often !! Dunn is a workhorse and is underappreciated.
My team is The Steelers and I am worried as hell about them. Hines ward is holding out. I was a fan well before Hines bacame a Steeler and will be when he retires, but if Pittsburgh doesn't pay him, their offense will fall apart. If they make him happy, I think they have a serious shot at the SB.

BTW..... I believe that you are a fan of ONE team. I am Steeler fan 100% but.... everyone always has this "other" team they secretly pull for and I am a closet Saints fan as well. I am very proud of their organization. They locked up Joe Horn for years. He will retire a Saint and they also gave long contracts to Deuce and Brooks.
That should actually be good news to you Sixx. The Saints and Falcons always battled for the bottom of the division, but I think The Saints (who won five of their last six games last year and barely missed the play-offs) will be a great rivalry again for the red-hot Falcons.

Of course Scaub won't be in Atlanta for long! But he's got the potential to become one of the next NFL stars...

The Saints need to a make a change in the coaching Department...
While I loved the Jim Mora era Saints with Bobby Heber I can't stomach the Hasslet version...

Yeah, I know. :) Mine's too easy -- I'm from Colorado so it's somewhat natural to be a Broncs fan.

Chris Miller finished his career here with the Broncos. He was about as well liked as a one year player could be. It's a shame the concussions caught up with him that badly.

Well being that most of the first string defense of the colts was resting due to injuries
ie: Dwight Freeney I think the Colts will be fine this year. Super Bowl team? I truly
doubt it! I think NY will be the surprise team this year for the AFC and yes Swine I
hate to admit but I think your falcons have a really good chance this year in the NFC.
Here are some other suprise teams that may have a decent season. Call me crazy but
I think Cincinnati and Chicago might give some folks a run for the money this season
and maybe (gasp) the Rams.

Chris Miller decdied to quit football after failing to be able to get to a U of O game with his family... He wasn't able to recall the directions on how to get there... He freaked & spilt. I would have done the same...:erk:

Yeah I remember that interview last year " I got Money I show my dick if I want to!"
What a ghetto asshole. I put up enough with that bullshit here in Indy. The last
thing I need is to watch that garbage on my tv.

Ouch! Yeah, me too.
