Guitarist Chris DeGarmo has rejoined QUEENSRŸCHE during the recording sessions for the band's forthcoming album, the Seattle-based group have confirmed via their official web site (www.queensryche.com). While it cannot be confirmed at this time whether Chris has officially returned to the band as a full-time member, the group is writing as a complete unit for the first time in seven years. A representative for DeGarmo confirmed the original lineup is "creating the next QUEENSRŸCHE studio release". QUEENSRŸCHE have amassed numerous gold and platinum awards and were nominated for a Grammy for their Top Ten Single "Silent Lucidity" in 1991.

QUEENSRŸCHE's upcoming full-length disc is slated for an early summer release. It follows their Sanctuary Records debut, "Live Evolution", which was released in 2001. The "Live Evolution" DVD debuted at # 11 on Billboard's top music video sales chart.

he likes the solo stuff to much....it was onthe newsgroups

How could they say no to WD?

I wonder how Queensryche would sound with Wd, though.
They are two very different vocalists, if i may say so.
I know Tate and Dane get named in one breath sometimes but still, they both put very different accents to their vocals.
And damnit, i'm not even interested in Queensryche i wanna know how EoR is doing!
Hey, i noticed that the official site has a new section up, for a studio-report, people!
It's still blanco, but the fact that there's an ability for a studio report for 2003...hmmm, i hope one of the nevermorons is in a writing mood today! :D

ha ha ha, tate and the guys finally patched things up again, I wouldn't see him wanting to ditch them after going through that trouble.

hmm, I'm having trouble picturing WD in qrÿche, but i'd like to see Tate with the rest of the nevermorons, they'd give him the big boot of metal that he needs.

or better yet, Nevermore just needs to cover Empire (whole album..)

Warrel and Tate have fairly similar styles, but VERY different voices. Geoff's is pretty much clean, throaty and very Dio-esque; Warrel has a harder edge to his voice and that grainy, straining-to-hit-the-note quality of singers who've pushed themselves too hard. It reminds a lot of people of John Douchebag when they first hear it.

Tate leaving would kill Queesnrÿche...the most impressive part of their music is his stellar vocals. But with DeGarmo back, I'm interested in what they'll come up with. I'm not expecting another Mindcrime, but another Empire or RFO is within the realm of possibility.
