Alright, so I'm fairly familar with Thunder Perfect Mind, All The Pretty Little Horses and Dogs Blood Rising, what else should I check out? :)

Swastikas for Goddy
Imperium
Earth Covers Earth
An Introduction To Suffering (otherwise known as C93 / Cashmore / Heemann split)
Soft Black Stars

and just about anything else you can get your hands on.

The two live albums that are widely available right now (Halo & How I Devoured Apocalypse Balloon) are also ok, but I prefer the studio material above these. (although the live version of "Locust" fucking ROCKS)

Furthermore, assuming you're downloading everything, there was a bonus disc with Thunder Perfect Mind reissue called The Thunder : Perfect Mind which kicks kinds of ass.

I can totally vouch for Thunder Perfect Mind and All the Pretty Little Horses. Both rule immensely. I have heard a few things off Imperium and Soft Black Stars, but I wasn't too into the "long droning pieces" that they were initially known for. The neo-folk era stuff is really good though.

Hey Moose, have you heard Of Ruine or Some Blazing Starre? I really want to check it out. And I'm pretty sure the Agalloch boys have stated it is one of their favorites (so, naturally I'm curious as all hell).

The only ones I have are "Thunder Perfect Mind" (with the kitten cover) and "Soft Black Stars". They're great to listen to in the late evening when I feel sort of numbed and cathartic and shit. Otherwise you must admit it's the same fucking song all over again and the vocals can easily get on your nerves.

Unfortunately not, but I'll look out for it.

Of Ruine Or Some Blazing Starre is up there. It's no Pretty Little Horses or Thunder Perfect Mind, but it's almost that good

I've been meaning to make this thread. Other than never actually having heard more than half of Thunder Perfect Mind, I'm getting it. Guy's vocals are fine.

The vocals took some getting used to, definitely, but once I acquired a taste for them I found Tibet's style incredible, and they never even approach the point of "getting on my nerves" now.

I like the fact that Tibet mostly speaks instead of sings... his lyrics are pure poetry and need to be heard.
