Drown Mary Hails from Seattle, Washington and are one of the Pacific Northwests fastest rising metal acts. They are included on the 2003 Jagermeister Music Tour which features Slayer, Hatebreed, and Arch Enemy. Drown Mary are one of the 9 elite special guest bands that will be opening the high-profile tour, as well as Ozzfest alumni acts like: Skinlab, Otep, Sworn Enemy, E Town Concrete and Dry Kill Logic. Drown Mary is the only un-signed band on the tour.
The self-managed act recently played the Seattle Metal Festival, which included national acts: Skinlab, 36 Crazyfists and Death Angel. The Seattle based group are currently drawing crowds by the hundreds. Their recent show at the Showbox Theatre in Seattle had the band perform in front of 550 - 600 rabid fans on a Sunday evening. They have numerous write-ups in local newspapers and many positive live show reviews. Drown Mary are also on regular rotation on Metal Shop, every Saturday night on KISW 99.9 FM, Seattles biggest rock station. Metalshop Djs Kevin and Steve have invited the band to be special guests in the coming weeks. They recently recorded a live video shoot through Cast-In- Stone, a local metal TV show put on once a month, the Drown Mary episode aired on September 1st.
The hard working band has just released a 3-song sampler through Jagermeister and the Jager Music program. The 3 songs will also be included on the forthcoming debut CD due out this fall titled Detached. These 3 songs can be downloaded at www.drownmary.com. It is being mixed by local favorite, Brian Valentino, credits include: The Deftones, Zeke, and Pretty Girls Make Graves. Drown Mary is creating a buzz on the scene in Seattle Washington.
