Jason Slater: For The Sake Of Supposing, is now available for purchase exclusively at
Amazon.com. The authorized biography is presented in full color, in two formats: a trade paperback and a Kindle eBook. It was written by Slater’s close friend and confidant, Brian J. Heaton, and published by Breakdown Room Publishing, LLC.

“I am proud to make good on my promise to Jason to write this book about his life and career,” Heaton said. “From his biggest musical triumphs to his darkest personal struggles, nothing was held back. I kept it real, just
like he wanted it.”

Jason Slater: For The Sake Of Supposing describes Slater’s life growing up in East Palo Alto, California, becoming a bassist, and working with a variety of musicians such as Ronnie James Dio, Geoff Tate, Troy Van Leeuwen, and more. It also gives Slater’s perspective on forming Third Eye Blind and Snake River Conspiracy, and his lengthy tenure as a producer and songwriter for Queensrÿche. Slater also shares stories from his encounters with Prince, Ozzy Osbourne, Tommy Lee, Green Day, Don Dokken, George Lynch, and others. Forbidden guitarist Craig Locicero wrote the book’s foreword.

“Jason lived a life of extremes and chronicling his story was both hysterical and sad,” Heaton added. “It is a cautionary tale about a brilliant musician with a deep soul, whose need for love and family was often exploited by those he thought cared about him.”
