Recommend me material from these two Broadrick projects! I own and like streetcleaner, but other than that, I'm a blank slate.

Godflesh - s/t and Slavestate are both on the level of Streetcleaner.

Jesu is pretty bad, Heart Ache is the only "ok" thing they've released imo.

If you like Streetcleaner, you'll probably dig Slavestate. Personally, I like the later Godflesh stuff like Us & Them and Hymns

As for Jesu, the best stuff is Heartache, the s/t and Silver. I like everything the band has done, but it would be nice if he simply released more full lengths instead of 50 different splits and EPs.

If you like these bands, it's also worth noting that early Swans is where he took most of his musical inspiration.

The Swans song I sent you isn't what I was talking about in this thread, but it is cool. The early stuff is just so crushingly heavy and intense. Unlike a lot of Swans fans, I enjoy all of their music. I'm interested in hearing about the stuff I sent you anyway.

hmmm i agree with it being gay that jesu releases so many splits and eps. thats kind of annoying. i still need to try to get into godflsh more....as far as jesu goes i like a lot of the previously mentioned albums....conqurer is damn good as well

if you like jesu check out vanessa van basten. some of their songs are just fuzzy noise but then theirs some really good heavy/trippy/atmospheric type stuff like jesu.

He does so many EP and splits and shit because he is cool with the Isis guys and the whole hipster-y fringe-metal crowd, so it's cool and hip to bro-job other acts with splits. So gay.

Their first full length album jesu - jesu is exellent and has occasional rumblings of godflesh beneath the surface. Also the album conquerer has its moments of genius too.

I like all older Godflesh and would check out everything stopping after Selfless. Pure is the best Godflesh after Streetcleaner. Messiah is pretty awesome.
