6er whilst I respect and appreciate your love for Joey please show some respect - we wanted this post to be about Ronnie and not about Joey's voice (regardless how great he sounded in that tribute). Post elsewhere if you must.

cheers

A-fucking-men

Hm, i respect him paying tribute to Ronnie, so i don't want to talk it down, but i don't really like his singing on this one. But then again, how can you like someone else singing something, when the original is sung by the mighty Dio? He's stepping into big shoes here...

I think Joey sounded amazing singing Dio. Not many people could pull that off. Joey has an amazing voice. That gave me the chills!

What exactly don't you like about his singing on this one?????? :erk:

Damn 6er you're making Joey fans look really bad right now lol

I'm disappointed that they made it into ballad but then again there will be a full TRUE Dio tribute show this fall

Joey sounds really good in the video and Ronnie James Dio will truly be missed

I don't have anything against Joey singing for Anthrax musically, but i'm still pissed they got him back, because Joey fans seem to be so fucking annoying... (and how couldn't i care for someone who annoys me? The whole "purpose" of annoying is trying to get attention from people who normally wouldn't care)

I don't know. It's music. You can't always describe why you like it or not. I just don't feel it. His whole tone is totally different from Dios. Actually i thought he'd fit the song really well, but i was a bit disappointed. Perhaps it would have worked better if they wouldn't have made it such a slow ballad. I mean, the guitar was boring too. I have nothing against making songs a ballad, but i couldn't recognize the original song in it anymore. The only thing they have in common are the lyrics.

But whatever. He is paying tribute to Ronnie here, that is what counts, so i don't want to talk their performance down. Man On The Silver Mountain without Dio just isn't the same :(

So, you'd prefer Bushthrax and no Joey fans, i.e. 75% of the fanbase, to Joeythrax and Joey fans galore? You'd rather have Anthrax financially fall on its face again?

ROFL

To annoy someone implies the susceptibility of the one being annoyed. Perhaps you feel too much.

Why is everything with you about money?
So you'd also take thousands of bad friends over a few really good? I'd rather have quality than quantity ;)

How can anyone not be annoyed by someone using a memorial to spread bad karma? Perhaps you should join that stupid cult who wanted to picket the memorial. You would be in good company there...

I had no idea bad karma resulted from praising the performance of a great, living vocalist covering a great, dead vocalist's song. That's a bit new-agey, even for grungy Bushthrax fans. Your chi must be a tad too burnt sienna right now.

I must have missed your post where you are talking about Joeys performance at Dios memorial. I can only see you starting the Bush-vs-Joey debate again. But feel free to show me the on-topic ones.
