just a quick post,which probably only means something to the brits who post on here.
john peel died yesterday of a heart attack
he was one of the u.k's premier music radio broadcasters,and a man who has championed rock/metal and other forms of alternative music since before i was born!his peel sessions were legendary,i own a few of them on tape.

basically,throughout the years,this guy pretty much singlehandedly kept rock and metal on mainstream airwaves in the uk.repect to him for that.

I have heard the Peel sessions for Carcass and Bolt Thrower but it wasnt untill he died that I knew Who the hell he was ..... So ... R.I.P. John!

That's sad news. Peel was even legendary here in the States to music geeks.
