KORN will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the release of the group's classic third album, "Follow The Leader", by playing three U.S. concerts at the end of the summer. The shows will take place on September 12 at the Masonic in San Francisco, September 13 at the Palladium in Los Angeles, and September 15 at the Pearl Theater in Las Vegas. It has yet to be confirmed but it is likely that KORN will perform the album in its entirety at those shows. "Follow The Leader" was a massive commercial breakthrough for KORN, debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard album chart, selling five million copies in the U.S. and yielding two hits singles in "Got The Life" and "Freak On A Leash". Singer Jonathan Davis told "Whiplash", the new KLOS radio show hosted by Full Metal Jackie (hear audio below): "I can't believe it's been 20 years [since 'Follow The Leader' came out] . It was only back in 2014 when the first KORN record turned 20. I was, like, 'What's going on?' Now, this is the album that put us in arenas, and a lot of people love this record. And I can't believe that was 20 years ago. It was an amazing experience; I'll aways cherish the experience of making that record. That was the last record I made not sober; I was very out of control. But I don't know… There's a lot of really, really good memories of that… [Recording at] NRG [studio] in North Hollywood. We just had a blast making that record." Davis, who will release his debut solo album, "Black Labyrinth", on May 25, also talked about KORN's plans for the follow-up to 2016's "The Serenity Of Suffering" LP. "I'm pulling double duty," he said. "[KORN guitarists] Munky and Head have been writing with different people for a while now, getting songs together. And then we'll all come together in L.A. in a studio. We're gonna start writing some songs together for a week. So they're gonna keep writing, and when I get back from [my solo] tour, I'm gonna jump right back in and write some more with them. And then we'll start working on the record probably late this year." Davis heads to Europe next month in support of his new disc. KORN plans to embark on a full tour of some kind in 2019, although no further details have been revealed.
