Deen Castronovo (JOURNEY, OZZY OSBOURNE, BAD ENGLISH, HARDLINE), Jack Blades (NIGHT RANGER, DAMN YANKEES, SHAW/BLADES) and Doug Aldrich (WHITESNAKE, DIO, BURNING RAIN) have joined forces in REVOLUTION SAINTS, a new project which recently completed recording its debut album for a 2015 release via Frontiers. The CD, which was produced by Alessandro Del Vecchio (HARDLINE), will feature Castronovo on lead vocals and drums, Blades on bass and vocals, and Aldrich on guitar. Already well known for his drum talents for his work with JOURNEY, BAD ENGLISH and more, Deen's excellent vocal talents are also in the spotlight on the REVOLUTION SAINTS release. On bass (and co-lead vocals on a few tracks), Blades is well known for his melodic-yet-hard-rocking approach to songwriting and playing via multiple classic albums by his main band NIGHT RANGER, as well as with the DAMN YANKEES and the SHAW/BLADES releases. On guitar, Aldrich was excited to lend his fiery blues guitar attack to such a unique and melodic band. Doug, who recently left WHITESNAKE after a fruitful 12-year run, has a deep pedigree and is one of today's most respected guitarists, having previously played with DIO. You can tell by the name (and the names involved) that this is not going to be your average rock 'n' roll album. It is a record that brings back the classic melodic rock style to where it should be: inspiring, uplifting vocals, soaring melodies and musicianship to die for. Or more simply, it is completely badass. The project was initially the vision of Frontiers president Serafino Perugino, who for years had hoped to work on a project where Deen would be the lead vocalist. Having previously worked with all three artists on different projects on Frontiers, getting Deen, Jack and Doug together was a dream come true for the president of the label. With production overseen by in-house Frontiers man Del Vecchio (who also contributed to the songwriting and played keyboards on the album), the recording process happened in Portland, Oregon during the summer of 2014. REVOLUTION SAINTS' music is played with a heart and soul and that highlights the passion and the enthusiasm of three of the best rock and all-around musicians in the game today. Aldrich left WHITESNAKE on May 7, explaining in a statement that he "had several recording and live commitments, so [he] needed a more flexible schedule to conclude these before going full force as normal." He added: "Unfortunately, my schedule was not workable." Aldrich played on the last two WHITESNAKE studio albums, 2008's "Good To Be Bad" and 2011's "Forevermore", and appeared on several live releases, including last year's "Made In Japan" and "Made In Britain/The World Records". NIGHT RANGER's latest studio album, "High Road", came out on June 10 in North America via Frontiers. JOURNEY's most recent studio album, "Eclipse", was released in May 2011. The Walmart exclusive debuted on The Billboard 200 album chart at No. 13 eight spots lower than the band's previous album, 2008's "Revelation" which also went on to hit No. 1 on Billboard's Top Independent Albums chart.
