According to This Is Lancashire, JUDAS PRIEST singer Rob Halford will make a special guest appearance on Saturday at the opening of the U.K.'s first community-run rock pub. He will join the locals who set up a community company to reopen the Sir Charles Napier in Blackburn town center as a social enterprise. "We've got to do what we can do to keep the Napier alive," Halford said in a video supporting the campaign, which you can watch below. "You can't beat live music. Any kind of music live is great, and especially in this amazing place full of history, the Napier in Blackburn." The Save Rhe Napier campaign's chief of PR added that as an artist who "began his music career in pubs like the Napier," Halford "knows how important places like this are, not only to the music community, but to the wider community in general." "Keep it open," Halford urged in the clip. "It's great, not only for music, but the community as well. It keeps everybody together — you can't beat these kinds of venues. I'm doing my bit; I know you guys will do your bit. Let's do it together, and keep the Napier alive and rocking." JUDAS PRIEST is currently working on a new studio album, tentatively due later in the year. The band's last CD, "Redeemer Of Souls", was released in July 2014. The follow-up to 2008's double-disc concept album "Nostradamus" was billed as a return to JUDAS PRIEST's heavy-metal roots
