Any fans of this instrumental string-metal band? if not, they're awesome live. They opened for dredg a couple of times over the last 2 years. I just saw them last night in Minneapolis and they floored me. I picked up a copy of their upcoming/new album "Peacocks/Pink Monsters" afterwards.
Totally boss packaging and artwork. Like a boardbook. The album flows exceptionally well. Great dynamics, consistent energy.
if you like stuff like Apocalyptica or The Diablo Swing Orchestra, these guys may be a group to hear.
They make acoustic violin and cello, amplified to the point they sound like a guitar and bass. The shifting tones they get are tremendous.
