Julie the Pop vocalist??

There's a thread over on the ProgPowerUSA forum discussing the new Nightwish and someone stated that To-Mera has a pop vocalist...so I was wondering...how do other people classify Julie's vocals? Does the band and/or Julie consider the vocals of To-Mera to be "pop"?

I don't think so. Julie has an ethereal, deep voice that could be better described as "gothic", I think.

Anyway, I couldn't care less about it. She rules

I wouldnt call it pop. But that's my opinion. I say it has a combination of classical, goth, and ethereal. Though hearing some of the sample songs on the album, I wonder if she will be diving into a little jazz with her voice in it. She definately could pull that off too!

I don't think Julie's vocals are very "pop".. more classical/gothy. She's got a rich, velvety sort of voice.
