No clue on either. I am always hesitant to buy these "tributes" because often times the majority of songs are desecrated beyond recognition anyway.
Who is on it?
Ripper is a great singer. His work with Priest may not be
that good, but that's Glen Tipton's fault. He's trying to
over-modernize Priest and he's trying way too hard.
If you pick up that Live Priest 2 CD set they put out 3 years
ago and you listen to Ripper sing "Diamonds and Rust" it will
leave your jaw dipping. If it doesn't take the earplugs out.
Ripper has a powerful voice that Priest isn't utilizing correctly.
It's sad too, cause he's a huge Priest fan.
Don't buy it for Into the Pit, you can download that off of mp3.com (first Prototype song I heard). I wouldn't bother buying the tribute, there's a thousand other compilations you could buy if you want to hear the same songs, and I don't see who could play Testament songs better than Testament, so I don't think it'd be worth it.
