In this "day and age" you can't become homeless without seriously trying. I've been harassed by homeless people several times the past couple of months. I've always wanted to punch their brains in, but have resorted to simply walking away, or dismissing them. I don't really know which hurts them the most.

i've a lot of sympathy for the homeless, but on the other hand they often annoy the shit out of me.

reminds me of one time when my girlfriend's cousin was in town, and saw a homeless guy who hangs around beside one of the main ATM windows in the city centre. big fat mess of a man, constantly with a can of beer in his hand, harrassing people non-stop. so she takes pity on him and decides to bring him a cup of soup later on.
when she shows up with the soup he says "Fuck your soup, Give me some money and piss off".

needless to say, i found it quite amusing.

Right, I certainly do realize that, and have seen it first-hand...thus why I didnt just walk across the road and start the shit up proper (also fear of being jailed). But, on the other hand, if these people present a danger to me or my family at any point, I'm gonna do what I have to do, man. There's no boasting involved, it's just something that I have to deal with everyday cuz I live right in the middle of a city. Lot's of people on a small space= fighting, crime, all kinds of shady shit going down everywhere...to quote Anthrax, "It's a madhouse!" but way more real and sad.

My studio is in a building in downtown Miami. We have a bum that is always out side that we call Bluetooth (or bluetoof) because he always has his head down talking to himself (and it looks like he's talking into a bluetooth ear piece). Most of the time no one can understand a word he says although I have personally heard him say "You don't even know what murder is I'll cut your fucking head off." And I have also seen him reach into his pants and fap it while walking down the street when a decent looking girl walks by. So needless to say I know where you're coming from and i tend to stay clear of them because they sure can bring the crazy sometimes. But other than that i have no hate or hard feeling towards them. I feel pretty bad for them though, gotta be a haaaard life man.

at al - i support you - i fucking hate creeps like that. there a waste society. nobody wants to deal with them, not the families, friends or the government and all they do is piss people off and freak people out - so fucking what if you had a shitty life or whatever. millions of people have been raped, went through alcohol abuse, drug abuse, had shitty families but they get the fuck on with there lives. not go into a fucking cocoon and live like a fucking waste of space. a drain on a countries economy, an eyesore and they smell pretty awful!

Theres this bum up at the bus station that, every time I go for the bus, comes up to me and says "Mate, have you got any change? I need £3 to get to X location", only you can barely hear this guy cos of his massive handlebar moustache, location changes every time but he's there every day, he seems to not recognise the people he does it more than three times to, its quite funny and sad at the same time. My mate got the idea and gave him a cigarette once, but I'd rather hey just asked for change than pretend he was going somewhere, worst scam ever.

I hate bums. Fucking pieces of shit are like 40 years old and all they do and know how to do is ask for money on the streets. I mean of course some people have it harder than others, but I've seen a lot of people come from poor families and do their effort and actually make a life, some even graduate through public college, some find a decent minimum wage work at best, but at least they did SOMETHING to make their lives worthwhile. These fucking shits never did a single effort in their worthless lives to com through, they just thought "asking for money is cool, I'll stay with it" until they got old and went mad.

Even if they had it way too hard and was totally out of their hands (unlikely, but still possible) well they shouldn't be such a plague and just fucking die, their life is totally meaningless in every way

Yea saying they deserve to die is whack. If its out of their hands then its out of their hands. Like you said it is highly unlikely but if so, then cut them a break they may be trying to do something. You can usually tell the difference between someone who is really struggling and someone who isnt.

When I was on tour and a bum asked me for money the way I would handle it is offer them a bottle of water or maybe some of the food I had brought along. Thats a caring and honest way of helping out and you find out who the druggies are by how they react bc some get pissed about it.

EDIT: But thats not to say I would or did that for every person who came to me asking for money.

instead of letting them ask you for change.. ask them, when they say "No I don't have any". Simply ask "Who the fuck comes to the city with NO MONEY AT ALL????".....

I can understand the rage towards hostile or potentionally dangerous types, but most bums I've encountered have been completely harmless fellows. A bit fucked and unfortunate, but harmless. I often sit and chat with them a bit if I don't have anything better to do, they're usually delighted to have someone to talk to in a normal, casual manner. What I've noticed, is many of them realize they've fucked up pretty totally in their past and regret it, but seriously, how do you think a 40-50-year-old fella who has been living on the street for the past 20 years or so could pull himself out of the situation? Get off their asses, get a haircut, get a job and get an apartment?

They're human beings, after all, and even though I'm not the most compassionate person in the world (I'm a bit of cynical fuck, which might not show from this post ), I don't look down to them if they seem harmless.

Yeah maybe saying they should just die is kinda pointless, it´s not like their gonna die or kill themselves, and I certainly do not condone suicide in any way. I guess it´s just the difference between bums down here and up there. You see, by nature, Venezuelan people ARE ALL fucking bums (generalizing of course, but most people here are), so the actual bums are total useless worthless people who just don´t find the need in actually working or earning money for real, they just find the easiest way: pretending to help you get out of a parking spot (I hate those who actually believe they are helping you), saying they take care of the car (my family´s car once got broken into under the "lookout" of one of these dudes, like they could do anything anyway, but they think they actually deserve money for it), or just plain asking for money.

I once saw on the street, a poor house, and on the entrance of the house was a stick dummy with a milk can taped to the arm asking for money!!! they are so fucking lazy they don´t even go out on the street to ask for money, they leave a fuckin mannequin to recieve money! does that give you a picture of venezuelan bums?
