It´s warzone here, Cartel war, stuff is getting awefull, i had never heared a granade before till a few hours ago, according to a few reports one was at a local Tv Station and the second was to the Transit Department which are a few blocks away from me, pretty close, i even saw the shine and felt that "Boooom". :erk:

i was in a war as a child, i know that sound/feel. grenades exploded just a few meters away from me, i was lucky!

They say now it was a bomb car.

Damn Soultrash must be really hard to live something like that.

Atheist, i can´t even imagine how that shock wave feels, damn.

That sucks man, I hope it doesn't hit any closer to home. Are you in South America? I hear the gang wars get really nasty over there.

I'm fortunate in that I was too young during the war to remember the sounds of shelling and shooting, but there were a few weeks of it before we left!

I`m in Mexico Ermin, stuff isn´t good right now, Drug cartels are fighting for the territory, so we have two cartels fighting against each other and against the goverment at the same time.

Had it really damn lucky living in Melbourne all my life.
As close as we get to "war" is gangland killings, lol.
Oddly enough, it was the show Breaking Bad that got me interested in doing more research on the drug cartel situation in latin America, especially the Mexico cartel situation.
Really fucked up knowing people working in legit law and business are collaborating with the cartels.
They're all after a peso at the end of the day , no matter what the cost to society and no matter the causalities, a really sad situation.
Hope you can stay safe man.

Ahh that's shitty man. Sucks when nobody is on the peoples' side in those situations. I imagine the high rate of corruption doesn't make the government any better than the cartels at the end of the day.

And yeah, Harry, Melbourne is one of the most sheltered places I've ever lived. That's why you get all these bored scumbags creating miniature, try-hard gangs just to get some entertainment/attention. All the ethnicities just playing out their petty shite. On the other hand it's also why all the left wing pussies here piss me off with their absolutely skewed and sheltered worldviews. You get these soccer mums thinking we need to ban the labeling from cigarette boxes, as wasting money, time and effort on shit like that matters to anything. Mind, we also get our share of corruption and gang-related violence, it's just nowhere near as prominent, nor as impacting on the average citizens' lives as it is in many other places in the world.

Thanks guys i`ll try to stay safe hehe, it´s getting aweful everyday, they are killing each other in the streets at daylight then they hang the bodies in trees or in places where people can see it, they are above authorities, it makes me sick just to think about how the goverment does nothing about it, NOthing!!,those criminals just laugh at them, it´s beyond corruption, i dont even how to describe it, people are afraid to just go to their works, you can see these guys in their escalades, tahoes and silverados is easy to recognize them, and i am at the eye of the storm, just google "Tamaulipas" is the state where i live.

Oh man, can't imagine how it feels to be in a war, not to mention the helpnessless...

Wish you the best and hopefully the circumstances getting more relaxed at your place.

I've seen a reportage about the drugwars in Mexico, but it wasnt a serous channel.

Wish you the best dude!!!

I've been in war.. well sorta.. but I did patrol the jungle in search of guerillas.
Had my deals with G3s, G4s, Galil, granades, pistols, M60, c4, rocket launchers you name it

No 'helplessness' whatsoever, they reprogram you so you just forget about being 'civilized' and crave for killing some enemy.
No toilets, and the MRE (Meals Ready to Eat) will make you wish you had a diaper

Damn dude, horrible to hear. That situation is getting so out of control!

When I was in Eilat, Israel (in the south, close to the Egyptian and Jordanian borders), some terrorists in the Sinai Peninsula launched Kyatusha rockets towards Jordan and they landed in the Red Sea in Eilat. We were in the same area that same day, in a pedal boat. One landed right in the water and one landed somewhere in Jordan I believe. "Funny" thing was, this was the first attack on Eilat in five years or so. My luck...Phew.

Thankfully we were sleeping when this all happened...I didn't hear shit!

I read a story yesterday about some migrant workers who refused to do the bidding for the Mexican cartels and all 72 or so were killed...pretty insane. I can't believe the amount killed over the cartel wars. I think it's close for 5,000 in the past 5-6 years or so? People being decapitated, cops being ambushed and slaughtered. Apparently Juarez is considered one of the most dangerous places in the world right now.

The fucking sad part is that one country seems to be paying an immense price so others can snort some shit...that is fucked, surely the UN or whoever will not tolerate this.
