Despotz Records has signed a record and publishing deal with KAMCHATKA. The band's as-yet-untitled fifth full-length album will be released in February 2014. KAMCHATKA's sound which has roots in Miami and Stockholm mixes elements of rock and blues. In recent years, the band toured the U.S. and Europe with the blues-influenced American band CLUTCH. "We just want to say that we are very pleased and excited to have been signed by Despotz," says KAMCHATKA in a statement. "Our manager Lena Graaf , together with the company and all of us in the band, worked out a deal which we are all very pleased with." "Our track record speaks for itself," adds Ömer Akay of Despotz. "Sweden is too small for our artists, so we create a larger arena for them internationally.It's incredibly that KAMCHATKA recognize this and choose to work with us at Despotz over other interested record labels."
