Kamelot - "Epica" Limited Edition

Yowsa, it seems they're really going out of their way for this one. Imagine if more bands would start doing stuff like this to match the mood and atmosphere of their music. Groups like Blind Guardian, Virgin Steele and Symphony X come to mind... I'd say this is the best way to counter mp3 piracy I've heard about up till now.

The limited edition does have a bonus track...I may have to consider ordering this, and I like the idea of having a visual representation of the concept.

I'm still not sure if Epica is their best, but it is definitely their most consistent album to date, and the arrangements are frequently stunning...I think the demands and focus that a concept album requires worked to their advantage.

I thought the album doesn't come out until Jan. 13th? 
Was it released in Europe already? Or do some of you lucky ones have advanced/promo copies?

No advance promo. I went to my recordshop and to my absolute surprise there it was!!

At first listen... I wasn't too impressed... it took me a few listens to finally realize how great this album is... perhaps the best Kamelot? Certainly the most consistant... very rich, ornate work... just stunning!

Does the limited edition only come in a foreign version(with the bonus track)? If so, where can I order it from the web without having to pay 30+ for it? Any incite would be helpful. Thanks.

Actually, I ordered my copy on January 13th from www.theendrecords.com It's the limited edition with the tatoo, the bonus track, and the multimedia stuff. It's January 18th now, and I can't wait much longer!! Oh well, it was cheap, very cheap, only $14.00. No tax, no shipping (if you live in the US or Canada), and no bullcrap! I can't wait, Kamelot is an amazing band, and I'm loving what I hear so far about Epica!
