KAMELOT has announced the addition of drummer Alex Landenburg to the group's ranks. He joins the band as the replacement for Johan "Jo" Nunez, who has been absent from KAMELOT's touring activities for most of the past year after suffering a leg injury that prevented him from performing live. Landenburg previously sat behind the kit for KAMELOT in July 2017 when the band supported IRON MAIDEN in San Bernardino, California. Commented KAMELOT: "Alex is not only a great guy but also a master clinician, teacher and master at his craft. After filling in several times in the last two years, he proved to be an amazing addition and youthful energy to the band. He will also continue as the drummer for CYHRA. If you haven't met him yet, please make sure you say hello. He is a great guy and his smile is infectious." Nunez joined KAMELOT last year after the departure of the band's longtime drummer Casey Grillo. KAMELOT's latest album, "The Shadow Theory", was released in April 2018 via Napalm Records. The follow-up to 2015's "Haven" was helmed by acclaimed music producer Sascha Paeth and mastered by Jacob Hansen. Guests on the album include Lauren Hart (ONCE HUMAN), Jennifer Haben (BEYOND THE BLACK) and Sascha Paeth. The cover artwork was created by Stefan Heilemann. The second North American leg of KAMELOT's "The Shadow Tour" begins September 10 in Silver Spring, Maryland and runs through October 12 in Tampa, Florida with SONATA ARCTICA and BATTLE BEAST in support.
