Karaboujan wacky part

In Den Svart On, there is the guitar solo over steeldrums, then a quiet part, and then comes a wacky part. It sounds like (clean) bass, but it could very well be a synth. What is it?

Well I don´t know.. my guess is that it is just a bass sound from a synthesizer. It doesn´t sound like a recorded bass at all.
