Earlier stuff is kind of a mixture between punk and industrial with quite tribal drumming, later stuff in the 80's is a darker kind of pop/new wave

Where should I start with the band?

The first five albums in chronological order. They released some questionable stuff after this, though their last two albums have been pretty good though different from the stuff that they released earlier.
